Center for Ray Bradbury Studies

Over the course of two years, I became an invaluable member of the small CRBS team. In this small institution, the tasks and responsibilities I took on enhanced my professional development - as a curator, collections cataloguer, graphic designer, and collaborator/writer of essential museum documents.

Through coursework and collaboration with the Museum Studies program, I created a program plan and exhibit concept.

Between Fall 2017 and Summer 2018, I worked on cataloguing correspondence received by Ray Bradbury between the years 1969 and 1974.

Over the summer and fall of 2018, I developed a month-long exhibit for the Center for Ray Bradbury Studies at the IUPUI Campus Center Cultural Arts Gallery. The topic of the exhibit paired with an annual presentation given by the director, Dr. Jonathan Eller.

“An Illustrated Man: The Art of Ray Bradbury” primarily was an exhibit of reproductions of visual paraphernalia associated with Ray Bradbury’s fiction: movies, plays, book covers and illustrations, and comics.

Using Sketchup and Adobe Photoshop, I developed the layout of the space as well as the design for labels and collages of Bradbury’s book covers over the decades.
