Collections Management
Center for Digital Scholarship
Through a collaboration with the Center for Ray Bradbury Studies, I digitized artifacts through 3D scanning processes using VX Elements, Maya and Mudbox, for an online/VR exhibit experience.
Using museum best practices, I offered assistance with object handling and scanning for other collections around Indiana: an extensive African art collection, a fire department museum and a major motor racing collection.
The 3D models are hosted on Sketchfab.
Center for Ray Bradbury Studies
Between Fall 2017 and Summer 2018, I worked on cataloguing correspondence received by Ray Bradbury between the years 1969 and 1974, which totalled thousands of pages.
I collaborated with the CRBS staff to form organizing documents like a collections management plan and emergency preparedness plan, amongst others.
Indiana Deaf History Museum
I conducted a needs and SWOT assessment identifying potential intersections between the museum’s needs and the IUPUI Museum Studies curriculum. I focused on museum priorities of rehousing artifacts, organizing and describing contents of the archive, extensive handling of paper media and repair of graduation posters, and establishing a database for the collection.
Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art
I worked with Allison Evans in cleaning up the collections database through research and standardization of metadata for object names and classifications, as well as search optimization for alternate numbers for which numbers might be known.
I also assisted with gallery installations, and volunteered for the Indian Market and Quest for the West annual events.
